What should I wear to a clay class?

Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting clay on, and closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied back. We provide aprons in-studio.

Do you provide tools and clay?

Yes. Foundational courses include tools and clay. Advanced courses may recommend specialty tools; these are listed in each course description.

How are classes structured?

Each session starts with a concise demo, followed by guided practice and quiet intervals. Instructors circulate to offer feedback tailored to your goals.

Can beginners jump into wheel throwing?

Absolutely. Our Wheel Foundations course is designed for newcomers. You’ll learn centering, opening, pulling, and trimming with safe posture.

What happens if I miss a session?

We share concise recap notes and optional practice drills. Some courses also offer make-up slots depending on seat availability.

Do you fire work made in class?

Yes. We schedule bisque and glaze firings weekly. Pieces must be dry and labeled. Firing fees are included for course projects.

Is there an online option?

Many theory and design modules are Live online with real-time critique. Hands-on modules are best experienced in-studio; see each listing for format.

Do you offer certificates?

Yes. Completing a full learning path earns a certificate that outlines skills and techniques demonstrated, issued by Wisecrest Atelier.
